Do you love playing foosball but hate how a foosball table takes up all the space in a room? If yes then the table that we are going to be reviewing today is the one for you!
A few months ago I was looking for a durable foosball table for my overcrowded game room and that is when I came across the KICK Monarch Foosball Table, it instantly caught my eye due to its beautiful wood grain finish.
Then I read that it was foldable and purchased it instantly! A few months later I have to say that this most probably is the best addition to my game room.
The table is made with alloy steel but covered with medium wood grain which gives it an elegant look giving our game room a better look overall. The ¼” inch playing field looks pretty great and I have no complaints with it whatsoever.
The ball return and the slide scoring at each end of the table are very convenient. The no-slip grip black handles attached to the semi-solid stainless rods but very little stress on my wrists.
The black color of the handles complements the table very well. The 13 blue and 13 red uniformed players are great but I would’ve preferred it if they were counterbalanced.
You can alternate between a 1-man goalie and a 3-man goalie system which is an amazing feature because it shows me that KICK does care about the customers’ preferences.
The foldable legs are the best feature of this table as I can easily put this table away in the corner of our game room, however, there are some problems with it that I will talk about later in the article.
I was actually pretty surprised with how amazing the customer service was, they helped me with the assembly, they sent me replacement parts, they were very helpful.

Let us take a deeper dive into the PROS and CONS of the KICK Monarch Foosball Table.
1. Durable cabinet:
The black cabinet made with alloy steel and covered with a beautiful woodgrain finish is pretty durable and elegant. It doesn’t look like it will chip in the next few years which is great as I won’t need to invest in another table.
But make no mistake because when I say durable I don’t mean heavy-duty, this table isn’t tournament level, it isn’t as tall or heavy as the regulated-sized tables.
If you want a mid-size table that is bigger than this one but is still foldable I would recommend the KICK Majesty 55” Folding Foosball Table.
2. Foldable legs:
The black legs go perfectly with the black cabinet and they are pretty sturdy. They aren’t long enough to be leveled perfectly which is a big design flaw that I hope KICK fixes.
However, if you do install the rear leveling screw you will have to elevate the front legs by approximately ½ inch to get overall leveling. Other than that, I love the folding feature as my game room is already pretty crowded like I had mentioned earlier.
3. Blue and red uniformed players:
The table arrives with 13 blue and 13 red uniformed men that look pretty realistic and provide me with immersive gameplay. One problem I have with them is that they can’t reach the ball that well, the solution to fix this isn’t buying bigger balls as those don’t fit the goals.
You either need to raise the playfield or somehow get taller players, I haven’t figured it out yet. The fact that you can alternate between a one-man goalie and a three-man goalie system is pretty great as some of my friends like playing with a three-man goalie system while I prefer one.
4. Ball receiver and slide scoring:
The ball receiver does exactly what it’s meant to do and I don’t have any complaints, the ball doesn’t slip out the goal and it can be retrieved easily without interrupting gameplay.
The slide-scoring mounted on each end of the table is a lifesaver as we don’t have to jot down the score after every single match and spend more time playing instead of keeping score.
5. Excellent customer service and unlimited lifetime warranty:
One of the parts of our table arrived damaged so we contacted the manufacturer and a new replacement was sent to us for free in two days wrapped tightly in lots of bubble wrap. They couldn’t have been nicer about fixing this issue.
They have also provided me with rod lubricant for free in the past. I needed some help with the assembly as the instructions on the manual aren’t as straightforward.
I gave them a call about this and they helped me with it and sped up the assembly process by a lot! I am very impressed with the customer service and would definitely wanna purchase from KICK again.
Now, let us talk about the CONS of this table.
The screws for the slip-grip handles were too large and I had a very hard time finding ones that would fit perfectly, this took up way too much unnecessary time during the assembly process.
The rods may be highly resistant but they are hollow, some of the rods on my table have already bent a little, this doesn’t affect gameplay a lot but it is still a little bit of a disappointment. I’m gonna contact KICK about this soon.
The table is foldable for sure but there is nothing to lock it in when it is folded up or down, this means that it wobbles a bit if the matches get too heated and it poses a risk of the table accidentally opening when folded up.
This table definitely isn’t heavy-duty or tournament level, if you are looking for something super high-quality and durable I would recommend the Garlando G-5000 Wenge or the Kettler Weatherproof Foosball Tables.
Also, the assembly is a pretty lengthy and difficult process and the whole thing took me 4 hours to set up all by myself, I would recommend having a partner help you.
The fact that there are no pre-drilled holes doesn’t help speed up the process at all. Watching this YouTube video helped me a lot, you should check it out when trying it out the table together.
FAQs about the KICK Monarch Folding Foosball Table:
Is this comfortable for adults?
This table is definitely shorter than the regulated-sized tables and therefore if you are above 5’6, playing on here could give you back pain. I would recommend getting the KICK Majesty Foosball Table to get all of the same features but with more height.
Does it come with balls?
Yes, the table comes with two soccer-style balls. I wouldn’t recommend buying the balls from the ‘frequently bought together’ section on Amazon as they are too big to fit the goals.
Do the legs fold completely flat?
No, the legs do not fold completely flat as this table isn’t made to be played on the top of another table, it would just be very uncomfortable playing like that.
Would I recommend the KICK Monarch Folding Foosball Table:
This isn’t a tournament-level table but it is pretty high-quality and definitely has great value for money. It is beautifully constructed and is also very durable. The black makes it look very chic.
Most of the features on this table try to keep the player’s comfort and enjoyment in mind and that is why I would recommend this foosball table to everyone looking to buy one.
